This pilot demonstrates the that electrodialytic treatment (EDR) can extract Ca, Cl and Mg from wood biomass fly ash to produce 20 kg of materials that complies with regulations for use as supplementary cementitious material (SCM).​ 

Wood biomass fly ash from Vartaverket, Sweden was used as case to upgrade the fly ash from a waste material to SCM, ready for the concrete producers.
